Our boiler has been making funny noises lately. The only way to describe them was to liken them to a door opening in a haunted house in a horror movie. You know that creak?
Well we rang British Gas this morning (they installed the boiler) and they said they’d be over this afternoon before 6pm! RESULT!
It’s been a busy day in The Raggedy House and we’re barely halfway through the afternoon!
After days of slobbing around (and playing with the blog!), I figured I should actually try and get some jobs done today! So after sitting around for half of the morning, I managed to drag myself up and get busy!
And before you ask, NO, not house again…. I don’t think either of us can face that quite yet!
Our blog has moved house, which is considerably easier than really moving house. We had decided a little while ago that we had been neglecting the blog, so we decided to give it a little push, put a bit more thought into it and try to keep the momentum going.
Although it might seem strange that we are blogging about renovating our understairs cupboard, it was actually a lot of work.
When we moved in the space was in a dreadful state of repair and included a crumbling lathe and plaster ceiling, a manky old moth-infested carpet, patchy plaster-work throughout and large holes leading in to the kitchen (as a result of some of the dodgy wiring).
Happy 2014 from the Raggedy House…and welcome to our new look blog!
Firstly, apologies for the lack of blogs recently. We threw ourselves into sorting the house out so that we would have plenty to tell you lovely people about. Expect to see lots of new blogs over the coming weeks showing you what we’ve been up to.
Blogging about our Victorian house renovation!
